TOUR ACTIVITIES:
Sailing on Auckland Harbour
Auckland is called the City of Sails and this 1.5 hours cruise shows you why! The Waitemata Harbour provides some wonderful views of Auckland city and used to be where we showed off our Americas Cup prowess, but now we don't talk about that!
Visit a living, breathing Volcanic Island
The sun sets on the western sky as our Ketch returns inside Milford Sound to anchor beneath
the walls of Mitre Peak. There may be no finer overnight location than this, as evidenced
by th efrequent pods of dolphins who share the bow wake. Try your hand at kayaking onth
esound or even swimming, before joining the crew for a great meal and perhaps a wine.
Take a personal guided tour through a geothermal Maori Village
We visit a living culture as your local host takes you through Whakarewarewa village where the local people have utilised the geothermal waters for daily cooking, bathing and living for over 300 years. Taste the local foods cooked in the boiling hot pools and steam vents while you experience living history as your guide explains to you the traditions of the village and teaches you how to play Maori musical instruments
Experience the thrill of a white water rafting trip in the Tongariro National Park
If you enjoyed the scenery of the Lord of the Rings movie you will appreciate the huge canyons carved in the mudstone of the central North Island. The grade three rapids are fun and definitely enough to keep you excited with guides providing instructions.
Take a tour through NZ's National Museum and visit the conservation 'island" Karori Wildlife Santuary
Visit NZ's National Museum, Te Papa and explore one of Wellington’s boutique breweries to savour a stunning crop of local and imported beers. We also visit within the city boundary one of the most exciting 'island' conservation endeavours. Surrounded by a 3 meter predator proof fence the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary provides a full morning exploring the tracks and the wildlife.
